This policy explains how SafetyEquipment.co.za processes personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

When you request a quote we collect your name, company name, email address, telephone number, province, city and the details of your request. We also record the page you submitted from and your IP address to prevent abuse.

Why we collect it

We use your information only to process your quote request: to pass it to a supplier who can provide the products or services you asked about, so they can contact you with a quote. We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.

Website analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this website, for example which pages are viewed and how many quote requests are submitted. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser. We do not send your name, email address, telephone number or quote details to Google. You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Who we share it with

Your request is shared with a selected PPE and safety equipment supplier and our quote-processing partners. They may only use it to respond to your request.

Retention and your rights

We keep quote requests for as long as needed to fulfil them and for reasonable record-keeping. You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or object to its processing, by submitting a request through our contact form. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
